The Roma Union would run a site for travellers if it were to be set up somewhere in Frankfurt. As reported, Sinti and Roma and other groups shall have the possibility to stay overnight in a site like this. According to a report of the magistrate other poss ible users, such as circus companies, seasonal workers, and homeless people are named. Indeed the Roma Union’s view is that the site should only be there for Roma , a combined use with other travelling groups is not acceptable.

Necessary is accomodation for about 50 people. It should have facilities like electicity, water, as well as sanitation. The Roma Union holds the view that conflicts, which led to threats against Roma and the dissipation of Roma families or conflicts in dif ferent city areas, could be reduced or avoided, if there was to be a site for travellers.
