16 Year old Neo - Nazi goes for five Years in Prison

Essen / Germany (RNC Agency) 16.01.1997

A 16-year-old neo-Nazi was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to five years in prison Thursday for stabbing a Turkish woman. Presiding Judge Brigitte Anhut ruled that the teen-ager was motivated by a hatred of foreigners when he attacked the 53-year-old woman in April 1996, stabbing her eight times at a subway entrance in Essen. Passers-by stepped in and grabbed the youth, who was drunk and shouting anti-foreignerobscenities. Despite his age, the youth deserved jail time because he has expressed no regret for the crime and has made no secret of his extreme right-wing views, the judge said. The victim, who was stabbed in the head, shoulder and back, still suffers psychological effects from the attack, the judge said.
