The central council of German Sinti and Roma accused the Mallorca travel guide ’’ Marco Polo ’’ of racism. The reason: A warning against Gypsies who supposedly recognise newcomers to Mallorca with unfailing sense and rob them. The publishing house Mair rej ected this criticism as incredibly impundent, as the whole world warns against Gypsies in Mallorca.
