A woman has died and several people have been wounded in a Roma quarrel over dowry, which broke out in the town of Soroki in northern Moldavia, a local newspaper said on Tuesday. The merry matchmaking of Roma turned into bitter dispute over the birde's dow ry, in which the woman died of shock, several people were wounded and two houses were set ablaze, the newspaper reported. Police is investigating the incident. The local Roma community is conducting a parallel inquiry, according to the newspaper.
